Dare I say it? Is spring right around the corner? I'm guessing I had better not get my hopes up since the weather
Channel is calling for snow and sleet on Tuesday! Oh well! I will enjoy the 60 degree temps while they last. This week has been super busy. Birthday parties tomorrow and a visit with a new little girl on the block and then hopefully some tennis. I am so ready to play! SC and her Dad were out and about today. Check her out in her cap! And SJ really loves ballet, as you can tell! This is going to be a great year! Later!

Snow again and Challenge
Yes, we're looking at about half an inch of snow on the ground. We're not sure if school will be closed or not. We are hoping so! I'm afraid I didn't run out and grab milk and bread though. I hope I don't regret that!
Anyway, think about this for a moment. When you pick up a book to read, do you start at chapter 19, and then move to chapter 2? No. Why then do we read God's Word in such a manner? Books were designed to be read from beginning to end. God's Word is a book. Ordained to be communicated to us in written form. I challenge you this year to consider reading the Bible through chronologically. Remembering that it's not a book of stories but one story. The ultimate love story. A story of redemption that cost the life of our Father's one and only unique Son. A story that develops one character, our God!

Ramblings
So, I've found a great restaurant salsa recipe! Check out Pioneer Woman on her blog and search for Restaurant Salsa. It is FABULOUS! I'll try to NEVER buy the jar stuff again. The cilantro is the key. We've had a great week despite the sub-zero temperatures. The girls and I have enjoyed having some time with Daddy at home! The snowmen are still, well, somewhat standing. You see, we had 6. Yes, 6 snow people. One for each of our family and the 2 dogs. We had a great time playing in the snow.
I have another recommendation for those of you with toddlers. The Jesus Storybook Bible by Zonderkids. Each story ends with reference to Christ. Each story points to Jesus! Great read for bedtime. And, drum roll please, SJ made 100 on her first spelling test! This girl is awesome! I'm so proud of her! SC continues to amaze me! So sweet and loving and so funny! As SC and I were driving to pick up SJ last week, we were listening to a song by Kari Jobe called Save Me and SC belted out the words, "Save Me, Lord, Save Me"! My heart melted and immediately I asked God to do just that. To work in her heart even at the age of 3 to know that Jesus can and will when she calls on His powerful name. She understands grief and sadness. She also knows that Jesus can heal that too. Thank you Jesus for children and the reminder that we are to come to You with childlike faith.

Twenty-Eleven
So, do you say Two-thousand eleven or Twenty-eleven? CDP is certain we should say Twenty-eleven in order to be relevent! LOL! Anyway, it's a new year! A fresh start! A new day! Time to put away and spruce up. Time to shape up and well, you get the picture. It's really quite amazing how time slips away each year. I honestly find myself wondering how we've gotten where we are. I can remember thinking...
"I'll never be old enough to drive." and "I'll never get married." How quickly time passes and we wish our lives away looking forward to the weekend and specific events on the calendar. I know resolutions are passe' and are almost never kept but I am going to ask God to help me focus on daily living this year. God reminded me yesterday that He gives Grace for each day. We don't store up Grace. I can't save it for a rainy day or draw from some past experience. (I'm not saying we don't learn from what God has done in the past. God gives me Grace daily as I seek Him and walk in the Spirit. I'm reminded of 2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." I have all I need at all times when I am walking in the Spirit. I am striving to allow Christ to indwell me daily and walk in the Spirit. Every day. Every morning. Every afternoon. Every evening.
Now, let's see a few pics of our girls....they really are gorgeous aren't they?
